From first stanzas of the Chinese standard in its original language, is a poem, reason why they have called it:

Cantonais poem  

The head has form of pear or round called pumpkin WU-LU in the skull and conic section in the snout.  

The nose and the superior in form of butterfly with the closed wings, wide and flat jaw.  

The ears, small and heavy, in form of clam or curly petal of rose. The legs in form of ham, thicknesses, muscular and straight.  

Face with longevity wrinkles, mouth of roofing tile, strong snout of cleared form.

Steel language, bluish or dwelled. 

Neck of strong buffalo and with.

Back of strong and flexible prawn.

Tail of wire, wide in the fine base and in the completion being born at the top of the back. It can be in form of hoop, knocked down arc or towards a side.

Body of the tense and without wrinkles, except in neck and extremely loose fish WUN of skin in the body.

Anus that watches the sky, the tail has to be very high, leaves the anus in the open totally.  

Croup of wide, flat, muscular horse, seemed to the one of the horse.

Extremities of dragoon, spaced towards the flanks of the body, leaving a wide and deep chest. Legs of garlic.

Thicknesses, forts with the knuckles very pronounced. Iron nails, red blacks or depending on the color of the hair.
